This course provides an accelerated study of American government for academically capable juniors and seniors. Students work to understand the nature of governmental decisions and political power in the United States by discussing such topics as the constitutional foundations of American government, political parties and interest groups, civil rights, and civil liberties. This course will prepare students to take the College Board Advanced Placement Exam.Required materials:
